Sturgis, SD, formerly of Omaha, NE, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Sturgis Regional Senior Care in Sturgis. She was born in Storm Lake, IA to Clara and Harry Hoffeins. Her husband, John L. "Tip" Saggau, was a well-known sports announcer in Omaha. Tip always referred to her as his "Rosebud". In High School, she excelled in swimming and even taught the sport to youngsters in the community center in Denison, IA. Addie won several medals for her swimming skills. Tip, Addie and their children enjoyed many summers at their lake home outside Park Rapids, MN, on Big Sand Lake. Fond memories of family reunions are cherished by her family members. Survivors include her 4 children, Di Saggau, Fort Myers, FL, Paul Saggau, Arlington, NE, Sally Reiman McKillop, Deadwood, SD, and Joanne Moore (Jinx), Wichita, KS; fourteen grandchildren; and 29 great-grand-children. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Tom Saggau; and her parents.
Upon her request, Cremation has taken place. MEMORIAL SERVICE 10am January 31 , 2013 at Christ the King Church, 654 S. 86th St. Omaha, NE. Inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 7710 W.
