Gloreen (Gloria) Phillips Bolden was born on September 15, 1950 to Iona (Bobby) Phillips and Harry Owens in Omaha, Nebraska. She departed this life on June 25, 2013 at her home unexpectedly. She was a devote follower of Jehovah's Witness and had a strong religious foundation. She believed that Jehovah is her strength and salvation. Gloreen was a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska in Macy, Nebraska where she was laid to rest. She attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for two years and studied psychology. She worked telemarketing jobs and at Oriental Trade during her work experiences. She was very proud of her African American and Native American Heritage and shared her tribal experiences with her family and friends. She loved participating in family gatherings but also valued her privacy. Gloreen is preceded in death by her parents, Iona Phillips and Harry Owens; sisters, Christine Parker, Beverly Duncan, and Rita Duncan; brothers, John Duncan, Brian Duncan, and Edward Duncan. Gloreen leaves to cherish her memories: three children, John Glenn Phillips, Eddie Bolden (WA), Kwame (Peggy) Bolden; grandchildren, Edison Bolden, Asia Bolden, Hunter Bolden, Camden Bolden, Latoya Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Jaron Phillips and Je-twan Phillips; sisters, Barbara A. (Lonnie) Marks, Laurel Spraling, Charline Duncan, Lori Duncan; Brothers: Charles Duncan, Ronald Phillips, Fred Duncan and Douglas Duncan; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
