Preceded in death by parents; granddaughters, Carrie Ann Carter and Janna Fienhold; 3 brothers; and 1 sister. Survived by wife of 64 years, Betty (Harrings) Carter; daughters, Sandra (Robert) Fien-hold, all Council Bluffs, Marcia (Miles) Bradley, Chamberlain, SD, and Sheryl (Doug Jenson) Ziegler, Fremont, NE; sons, Donald (Elsie) Carter, Laredo, TX, and Thomas Carter, Carter Lake, IA; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter.
FUNERAL SERVICE Tuesday 11am at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery, with Military Rites tendered by American Legion Post #2. Masonic Service Monday 6pm, followed by VISITATION with the family until 8pm at the Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Fifth Ave. Methodist Church or Tangier Shrine Transportation Fund.
