Age 87. Randolph, Nebraska. Died on the morning of July 2, 2012, at the Colonial Manor in Randolph. He married Margaret Gubbels on April 20, 1953 in Hartington. They farmed 5 miles northeast of Randolph. He was very proud to have served in WWII and was a member of the VFW Post 5545, Catholic Order of Foresters, Knights of Columbus, and other local organizations. He was a life-long member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Sister Fortunate SSSF (Mary), Desmond, Harold, Delores, and Cleo; and son, Kevin. He is survived by his sister, Rose Kavanaugh and brother, Paul Korth both of Randolph; also survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret and 6 children: Russell of Nathrop, Colorado, Karen (and friend Greg Kappel) of Crofton, Nebraska, Mike of Randolph, Susan (and Troy) Krupicka of Omaha, Mark (and Karla) of Randolph, and Father Dave of Winnebago, Nebraska; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two former German foreign exchange students Karolina (May) Chu and Severine Siebert.

Friday July 6, 2012, 10:30am. Interment: St. Frances Catholic Cemetery Randolph. Military Rites: V.F.W. Alvin Kessler Post #5545 and American Legion Post #113 of Randolph, NE. Clergy: Reverend David Korth; Reverend Michael J. Swanton. VISITATION: 3-8 pm with 7:30pm Christian Wake Service all Thursday at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph. Pallbearers: "Butch's Grandsons". Honorary Pallbearers: "Butch's Grand daughters". Memorials may be directed to St. Augustine Indian Mission or the Leonard and Margaret Korth Charitable Fund.
