Passed away on December 7, 2012 in Colorado. A native of Omaha, he was a graduate of Bryan High and attended college at MCC. He is survived by his parents, Stephanie Novotny, Omaha, and Lauren Stinchcomb, Maryland; brother, Daniel (Gina) Gillum (children, Stephanie and Gabriel); sisters, Cori Baquero-Cruz (daughters, Maya and Nora), Savannah (Dave) Farrell (daughter, Olivia), and Gina Stinchcomb; numerous aunts and uncles, Roger and Terri Bewig, Dana and Debby, Gene and Robin, Larry and Brenda, Patricia, and Lowell and Kathy Franck, Phil Gibilisco, Sandra Groch, Cynthia Plympton, and Greg Stinchcomb; cousins, Maya and Tyler Bewig, Anthony, Kimberly, Nathan, and Scott Franck, Heather Funk, Katelyn Gillispie, Aimee Piersma, Eric and Frank Speaks, and Gabriel, Katlin Stinchcomb and Bonnie Watson; grandmothers, Geraldine Franck and Hilda Stinchcomb; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Donald Franck, Philip Gibilisco and Thomas Stinchcomb. Luke was a skilled culinary professional and landscaper and passionate about nature and outdoor activities like snowboarding and hiking. He loved music and was well read and curious about the world. He was one of the most gentle and unconditionally loving and forgiving people we have ever known, as well as one of the greatest minds. He made friends everywhere, and is surely making friends in heaven.
