Rebecca J. "Becky" Delaney of Urbandale died unexpectedly Sunday, November 18, 2012. Becky was born December 19, 1947 in Carroll, IA, the daughter of Geraldine and Alvin Andersen and lived many years in Omaha before moving to Urbandale in 1986. She was an avid sports fan. She volunteered countless hours in support of her sons' baseball activities and was named the 1993 National Baseball Woman of the Year. Becky's survivors include her husband of 43 years, Mike; three sons, Jeff (Jodi), Fort Dodge, Ken (Cindy), Waukee and Mick, Urbandale; five grandchildren, Kristen, Matt, Katie, Peyton and Morgan; mother, Geraldine Andersen, Omaha; and eight siblings, John (Sue), Lee (Daisy), Roy (Lovie), David (Sharon), Ron (Mary), Patti Andersen, Sheila (John) Schutt and Debbie (Tim) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin; and twin daughters, Jennifer and Jenna.
VISITATION 1-4pm Sunday, November 25 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, Des Moines. FUNERAL SERVICES 11am Monday, November 26 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Des Moines. Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter. Online condolences may be left at
