Dearest Tibbs family,
I regret that I could not be with you today on Mrs. Tibbs grand home-going ceremony. Your "grand" mother was courageous, generous, and always exhibited unconditional love. May God provide you with the strength to endure these trying days. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please remember - when you speak her name she lives!!! Your sister-friend,

I wish to express my sympathies to your family. I have nothing but fond memories of Virginia. Her kindness toward my brother Douglas over the years, even after the death of our mother, was greatly appreciated. She was caring, loving and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
