(Cenith) Tibbs, Springfield, VA, Larry (Katherine) Tibbs, Omaha, Robert "Danny" Tibbs, Avon-dale, AZ, Steven J., Garry W. Tibbs, Omaha, and Michael R. (Grada) Tibbs, Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Barbara K. Tibbs-McGee, College Park, GA; 2 sisters, Mildred Clark, Omaha, and Ollie Potter, Tampa, FL; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
VIEWING 6-8pm Tuesday at Mortuary. SERVICES 11am Wednesday at The Living Hope United Methodist Church, 2319 Ogden St. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. THOMAS FUNERAL HOME

I regret that I could not be with you today on Mrs. Tibbs grand home-going ceremony. Your "grand" mother was courageous, generous, and always exhibited unconditional love. I wish to express my sympathies to your family. I have nothing but fond memories of Virginia. Her kindness toward my brother Douglas over the years, even after the death of our mother, was greatly appreciated. She was caring, loving and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

~~~Grandma Tibbs~~~ Even though I wasn't a real grandchild~~You never treated me Different~~I will never forget your wise words, I will forever hold on to your Kitchen memories~Because as you sat in the kitchen chair by the door over your son Larry house~~You talked about how important it is to Live your Life and take care of ourselves~~Your Birthday Party at the Jazz & Love Center was such a beautiful occassion~~And just seeing your beautiful smile and you shaky your shoulders to the music.The surrounding of all your Children will Be a memory.
