Served in the CCCs in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Idaho. Served during WWII in Europe and Africa (1941 to 1945) with the 815th Aviation Engineer Battalion. Heartland Flight participant. Past president and member of Plumb-ers Local #16 since 1946. Founding member of St. Pius X Church. Preceded in death by wife Mary Ann Schi-monitz; brothers, Bill, Ed, and Ray Schimonitz; and sisters, Betty Wig-gans, Mary Bauer, and Rita Smith. Survived by children and spouses, Jim and Mary Schimonitz, Carol and Jim Jirousek, Sally and Bernie Saucier, and Sue and Joe Murray; sister Millie Pedersen; brothers, Joseph Schimon-itz, George (Marjorie) Schimonitz; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
MEMORIAL MASS Tuesday 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church. VISITATION Monday 5-7pm, with a MEMORIAL WAKE at 7pm at the John A. Gentleman, 72nd St. Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Pius X Parish. JOHN A. GENTLEMAN MORTUARIES
