Otis was a good friend and kept me laughing through my most trying days of my professional life. He taught me to think about what really mattered in life, family, friends, and a God who cares.

Dear Hayes Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of "Uncle" Otis. We have a couple nice conversations on Facebook last year; I learned a lot about his life, some things we had in common. I'm so grateful to have had the chance to share that time with him. May the Lord bless you with His peace and comfort.

Dear Deloris and family,
We are truly sorry for your loss. We feel deeply that Ottis was a part of our family. We still remember the encouragement he would always give our sons about life and preparing for life. We know it does take a villege to raise a child and we are so happy Ottis was a part of the village that helped us raise our sons. He, and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Hayes family, you have our sincere condolences for the lost of your loved one and our friend, Otis. He will be missed for his brilliance, caring, and humor. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:1,6,8 NKJ
1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
