Harnett, Ann Estelle

Ann died May 14, 2013 in Lincoln, NE. She was born November 7, 1916 in Minatare, NE, to Robert Waters Turner and Mary Eleanor Fairchild. She lived in Lincoln until she was 16, when her family moved to Omaha, where she lived for 68 years. Ann married James Frederick Harnett on September 20, 1941 in Omaha. She worked at Woodmen of the World for a number of years, and volunteered with Red Cross during World War II. She was a member of the First Central Congregational Church in Omaha for over 60 years and served in many capacities there. She was a gifted musician, playing both piano and organ. She was a member of Parent Teacher Association, Mother Singers, several church choirs and circles, an organ club, many bridge clubs, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ann loved bowling, golf, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (2000); and sister, Carol (1999). She is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise (Nestor "Monty") Montez, and Barbara Jo (Douglas Lee) Woodbeck; grandchildren, Scott Alan (Vickey) Montez, Margaret Mae (Anthony) Squires (nee Stroup), Daniel James Garrett (Gabby), and Darrel Walter Woodbeck; and great grandchildren, Wyatt Scott Montez, Declan James Montez, Jacob Benjamin Montez, Molly Prickett, Elijah Daniel Garrett, Ethan Isaiah Garrett, and Harleigh Woodbeck.
