Bellevue, NE. Pharm.D., Dr. of Pharmacy, Graduate of UNMC School of Pharmacy. Preceded in death by mother Muriel. Survived by wife Clara; son Daniel; father Emmet Bruning; sib-lings, Gregory (Mary), Steven (Susan), Elaine (James) Murphy, Ann (Louis) Cisar, and Edward (Lisa); nieces; nephews; and cousins.
VISITATION at Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church (50th and Harrison St., Omaha) Monday after 6pm, with POMEN SERVICE at 7pm also at the Church. FUNERAL SERVICE Tuesday 9am at Saint Nicholas Church, with Rev. Father Sasa Petrovic, officiating. Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery. Military Honors by American Legion Post 331.

Larry Bruning was a dear soul and a very good provider for his family. Though the road was very tough the last several months his spiritual journey meant a great deal to him and wife Clara. May he rest in peace. Deepest sympathy from the Schleis family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had not seen Larry for many years but knew of his struggles and kept him in prayer. My lasting memory of him will be his big smile. My prayers are with Aunt Sis and Danny. May you both find peace in Jesus our Messiah.

I so much wanted a better outcome but God's plans were not our plan. The love you and Larry shared was evident as I watched you walk hand in hand. I know it was hard to let go but may you be comforted in the love you will always cherish. Peace to both you and Dan during this difficult time.

Larry graciously sold me my first car.. a 1971 VW Super Beetle when I was a struggling college student. I will fondly remember his love of shooting and his quiet kind spirit, as well as his unique way of making holiday "punch". Our prayers are with Sis and Danny as well as the rest of the extended family. May Christ's peace be with him and his family.
