KIRKVILLE >> Aldon "Lee" Froelick, 78, of Kirkville passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse.
Lee was born June 16, 1935, in Canastota, a son of Aldon and Esther Welch Froelick. Lee was raised in Canastota and was a long time resident of Wampsville moving to Kirkville in 1997. Lee was a welder and was employed at the former Henney Motors in Canastota, Carrier Corp. and Industrial Fabricators Corp. in East Syracuse. Lee was a U.S. Army
veteran serving during the Korean War
. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline in 2011 and his daughter Debra Krause in 1996. Surviving are his son, Ronald Froelick of Oneida; his daughter, Diane Grimm (Thom) of Greenville, S.C.; his step daughters, Constance Willits of Rickman, Tenn., Catherine Lopersido of Fulton, and Christine O'Connell of Niskayuna, N.Y.; his brothers, Donald (Edith) Froelick of Oneida, Dennis (Cathy) Froelick of Rochester and Michael (Tana) Froelick of Thornhurst, Pa.; his sister, Linda Tornatore (Anthony) of Canastota; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a special caregiver and friend, Fely Finck of Sylvan Beach.
A memorial service will be held in the spring. Contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center ICU or Hospice, 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, N.Y. 13210. Zimmer Funeral Homes, Cazenovia and Chittenango is in charge of arrangements.
