You were always a good guy to me, Unca D., as Auntie Lo referred to you as. You were always ready with a warm hello, smile, and hug whenever and wherever we ran into each other. You had many friends because of that ready warmth and generosity of yours! Some of my fondest life memories are from time spent at your wonderful Lincoln Knolls home with Auntie Lois, you,and my absolute fav cousins, Kirsten and Erin (Plumper Raisins! Sorry Erie, I just had to!!)! Whether causing mayhem & mischief by jumping out of windows and haylofts in summer, or freezing our fannies off ramming around on your snowmobiles in winter, You and Auntie Lo always made it a party for all of us kids! What a ball we had!I've missed you and Aunt Lois all these years. I know though that when you and I meet again, you'll be there with your big warm smile saying "This one's on me"! Salute, Unca D., you'll be missed!
Kirst & Erin, you have my heartfelt love and prayers...you've lost two wonderful, loving people with the passing of both your parents now. My heart breaks for you. I hope that in time you will find peace and healing in the memories of these two very fun, interesting, and generous people...you've got great genes, ladies, never forget that!
With much love, God's peace be with you,
~ Bethany

Dear Kirsten & Erin,
Thank you for the privilege of being with you as you said your goodbyes to your dad. I know he would have been so proud of the two of you as you bravely ushered him into eternity. You remain in my prayers during this very difficult time. Chaplain Joan McCampbell, University Hospital
