Ellen Caswell Obituary
Born in Syracuse, on July 19, 1984, she was the daughter of Donald and Joan Stratton Caswell Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, Ellen was a graduate of Stockbridge High School, Class of 2002, Mohawk Valley Community College, where she received her associate's degree in criminal justice and Columbia College, where she received her bachelor of arts in psychology.
Most recently, Ellen was employed with Consumer Services of Madison County as a counselor.
Surviving are her son, Kadyn Alexander Depasquale, at home; her daughter, Kelsey Ellen Caswell-Young died Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 from injuries of the same accident; her parents, Donald and Joan Caswell of Verona; her sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Brad Benefield of Fayetteville, N.C.; her former husband, Alex Depasquale of Canastota; her step-sister and companion, Barbara Caswell-Page and Michael Brown of Rome; her step-brother and wife, Donald and Tammy Caswell, Jr. of Westmoreland; Kelsey's best friend, Sam; a special family friend, Dan Meyers; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, with the Rev. Mark Monroe, officiating. Interment will be made in Eaton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3-7 p.m., Friday. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to Oneida Pop Warner Cheerleading, 400 N. Main St., Oneida, N.Y. 13421 or to the Kadyn A. Depasquale Scholarship Fund, c/o Oneida Savings Bank, 104 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, N.Y. 13032.
