Robert Deep Obituary
Robert was born in Utica, N.Y., the son of Robert Deep Sr. and the late Caroline Deep (Moorehead) and a life-long resident of the Verona area. Bob was educated at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill School. He is survived by his beautiful, devoted wife, Cynthia Deep (Walker). They were married on July 10, 1982.
Bob was employed by Special Metals in New Hartford for the past 7 years, and was previously employed by Rome Cable and Oneida Limited for numerous years.
Bob was passionate about the great outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved motorcycling and boating. Bob was a member of the Turtlehead Archery Club. His true love were his grandchildren, Macie and Matthew. "Pa" spent every possible moment with them and they were the twinkle in his eye.
Surviving are his wife, Cyndi and father, Bob; two sons, Robert Deep III (Kristen) and Michael Deep, of Vernon Center; grandchildren, Macie and Matthew Deep; brother, Rick Deep of Verona; father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Adliza Walker of Verona; sister-in-law, Susan Walker of Vermont; brother-in-law, Patrick Walker of Vernon Center; special family friend, Hermine Kinne of Verona; four nephews, Patrick, Christopher, Jordan and Marc Walker, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, Dec. 9 from 2-6 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, Inc., 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, NY. Bob's funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. immediately following calling hours at the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Verona Cemetery, Main Street, Verona, NY. Friends and family are welcome to come celebrate Bob's life at the Verona Fire Hall, immediately following the graveside service.
