DURHAMVILLE -- Harold F. Albert, 85, of 6660 Higginsville Road, died early Friday morning, May 10, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving Family. He was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Oneida, the son of Preston and Rena Haskins Albert.

On Aug. 19, 1949, He was united in marriage to the former Beatrice Hitchings.
Mr. Albert had been employed as a mental health aid for the Central New York DDSO. He was a graduate of Utica College. He was veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the Durhamville Veteran's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald and Linda Albert of Schenectady and Christopher of Durhamville; one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Brian Anderson of Canastota; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Florence Albert of New Hartford; two sisters, Irene Richoll of Florida and Parmella and Don Cook of Ohio; four grandchildren, Sheila, Ricky, Jack and Amanda; and seven great-grandchildren, Jesse, Brenna, Alexis, Olivia, Christopher, Shawna and Tyler. At Mr. Albert's request, his remains have been donated to SUNY Upstate Medical School for Medical Research. There will be no services or hours of public visitation. Contributions in Mr. Albert's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, New York N.Y., 13413.
