CANASTOTA >> Ann M. Lumbrazo, 98, of 215 N. Main St., Canastota, died on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Oneida Healthcare following a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1916, in Canastota, the daughter of Theodore and Concetta Picece Lumbrazo.
Ann has lived in Canastota all of her life, and attended the Canastota schools.
She retired from General Electric in Syracuse, after working there for 20 years.
Ann is a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota, and the IBEW Local Union No. 320 in Syracuse.
She enjoyed crocheting, and an occasional trip to Turning Stone Casino. Ann loved her family more than anything and was very devoted to them.
Surviving are one brother, Vincent Lumbrazo of Roseville, Calif.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Rose Lumbrazo of Canastota, Louise DeAngelo of Rome, and Theresa and Sam Bevacqua of Fulton; an aunt, Lena Argentine of Oneida; as well as several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins, including a special niece she raised as her daughter, Concetta E. "Connie" Vincent of Weedsport. Ann was predeceased by five brothers, John, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, and Rocco Lumbrazo.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at St. Agatha's Church Canastota, where a funeral mass will be held. The Rev. Stephen P. Wirkes, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home Inc., 201 James St., Canastota.
