WAMPSVILLE >> Catherine A. "Cathy" Drummond, 60, of 6990 S. Court St., Canastota (Wampsville), died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Oneida Healthcare, following a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1954, in Canastota, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Wright Baldwin.
Cathy lived in the Canastota area all of her life, attending the Canastota schools.
She married Eugene F. Drummond on Oct. 22, 1992, in Wampsville, after being together for 35 years. Eugene died on May 25, 2007.
Surviving are: three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Laura Drummond, Eugene W. and Tammy Drummond, and Jeffrey and Christy Drummond, all of Canastota; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Drummond of Beaufort, S.C., Linda Drummond of Munnsville, and Lisa and Shadi Marji of Oneida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Clara Baldwin of Mississippi, George Baldwin of Clockville, and Bonnie Baldwin of Mississippi; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Turk Hunt of Summerfield, Fla., Elizabeth and David Wright of Leesburg, Fla., and Ella and James Boice of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathy was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Baldwin and Archie Baldwin; and a sister, Beverly Bariva.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., Canastota. The Rev. William M. Wilcox, pastor of the Fyler Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 201 James St., Canastota.
