Francis Borasky Obituary
He was born Aug. 24, 1981, in Oneida, the son of William Borasky Sr. and Irene Borasky. He had been employed with the maintenance department of Syracuse University.
Fran was described as a hardworking man, and his two boys were the joy of his life. He was a coach for the Oneida Pop Warner Football Team and Oneida Little League Baseball Team.
Fran was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving is his close personal companion of 15 years, Cassy Mills; his two sons, Keagan and Kolby; his father, William Borasky Sr. of Oneida; his mother, Irene Borasky of Canastota; one brother, William Borasky Jr. of Williamstown; and a niece, Makayla Borasky of Oneida.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, with the Rev. Stephen Wirkes, pastor of St. Agatha's Canastota, and St. Mary's of Verona Beach officiating. Interment will be made in Oneida Castle Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oneida All Sports Booster Club, c/o Jack Cavello, 26 State St., Oneida Castle, N.Y. 13421.

Bill, we are so saddened by this. So heartbroken and in pain for you and your family. Francis is a person that is important to soooo many of us at Syracuse University. A great example of a man, a dad, a co- worker, a friend, especially a son. Our memories and tears will be for such a senseless loss of such a good man.
