Linda Bellinger D'OnofrioONEIDA >> Linda Bellinger D'Onofrio, 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Oneida on Jan. 2, 2018. She was the daughter of Frank and Betty Bellinger, Sherrill, N.Y. She graduated from VVS in 1966 and from SUNY Oswego in 1970.Linda taught fifth grade in Valatie, N.Y. After she returned to Central New York, she taught preschool at Village Nursery School in Fayetteville for several years. She also worked backstage at the Landmark Theater and the War Memorial, managing wardrobe for the many touring shows that came to Syracuse. Linda loved to camp and spent many happy days enjoying the Saint Lawrence River, sitting next to a roaring campfire, and yes, an occasional viewing of the northern lights. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, needle point, many arts and crafts, and most important of all, spending time with her family and many friends who she so loved.Linda is survived by her husband Frank of 47 years, along with her two sons and their families. Michael and his wife Robynn and their two daughters, Emma and Aubrey live in Broomfield, Colo. Daniel has twins, Nate and Cailyn, and they live in Charlotte, N.C. Additionally, she is survived by her sister's sons, Brian Myatt and Brad Myatt and their families who both live in Oneida, along with several cousins and their families. Linda was a very gentle and loving person who will be missed by many.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., New Hartford, or to Wanderer's Rest Humane Association, Inc., Canastota. Calling hours will be 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, N.Y.
