Sadie Martha Gebo Obituary
VERONA >> Sadie Martha Gebo, 78, of Sweet Briar Lane, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 in the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.
Born in Bridgewater on March 21, 1935, she was a daughter of Carmie A. and Mira G. Belfield Tilbe. A resident of the area for nearly 60 years, Sadie was a graduate of Waterville High School. She married Edward F. ""Pops"" Gebo in Stockbridge on July 27, 1991. He died June 2, 2002.
Sadie was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are five daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Jerry Campbell of Morrisville, Kathy Wyant of Syracuse, Sandy and Dennis Winchell of Oneida, Linda Miller and her companion, John Potter of Verona and Mary Miller and her companion Butch Colvin of Peterboro; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ross A. Miller Jr. and his companion Cheryl Cook of Verona, Lewis and Sue Miller and Robin Miller, all of Oneida, Randy Miller of Verona and Keith and Lucinda Miller of Rome; devoted son-in-law, Robert King; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Debbie Kirk of Blossvale; three sisters, Virginia Bochniak of Rome, Grace Meyer of West Windfield and Mary Prentice of Georgia and her special friend Ken Handright. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Miller, a son-in-law, William Wyant, step-son, Eddy Gebo, her former husband Ross A. Miller Sr., to whom she was married for over 20 years and three grandchildren, Bailey Snyder, Charanne Cronin and Nicole Lewis.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, with the Rev. Chris Kinnell, officiating. Spring interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the funeral service.
