ONEIDA >> Catherine M. Taylor, 97, of West Elm Street, died Thursday evening, Feb. 20, 2014, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Oneida, on Nov. 23, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Nero Malone. A lifelong resident of Oneida, Catherine was educated and graduated from Oneida High School. She married Lynn A. Taylor in St. Joseph's Church, on June 25, 1949.
Catherine was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
Surviving besides her husband, Lynn; are her daughter, Katherine R. Taylor of Oneida; her son and daughter-in-law, Lynnwood J. and Mary Anne Taylor of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren, Marissa and Linnea Taylor and Jamie, Joshua and Jonathan Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Alexander Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Gerard M. Taylor, on March 24, 2006; her sister, Mary Schwarz; and her five brothers, John, Michael, Patrick, Joseph and Anthony Malone.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida and 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Richard Kapral, pastor. Interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. There are no public calling hours, but friends and family are invited to the funeral service.
