VERONA >> Lloyd C. Mahl, 58, of Town Line Road, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Rome, a son of Clifford and Jennie Ludwin Mahl. He had been employed as a bus driver for Turning Stone Casino, and had also been formerly employed as a bus driver for V.V.S. School district and was formerly with Oneida Ltd.
Lloyd was always known to be a kind and gentle person, and was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He had an impact on all who knew him, and will be sadly missed by many.
Surviving is his father, Clifford, of Clinton; three brothers, Larry, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ted and Vera Mahl, of Verona and Brian and Vicki Mahl, of Pennsylvania; one niece, and one nephew and two great nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Taberg. A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the Nothin Fancy, on Ruth Street, Vernon from noon to 5 p.m. Friends are invited. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, Oneida.
