SHERRILL >> Robert E. Sweet Jr., 58 of Robertson Road, Sherrill and Kayuta Lake, N.Y. passed away peacefully on May 24, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and friends at The Black Dog Lodge.
Born on Oct. 30, 1955, in Watertown, N.Y. he was the son of Robert E. and Adeline M. (Rotella) Sweet Sr.
Robert (Bob) attended Proctor High School, Utica, N.Y. and soon after proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. Bob then joined the family business, Hartman Enterprises, Inc., eventually becoming president and owner.
One of Bob's proudest accomplishments was his labor of love, "The Black Dog Lodge." Amongst his other passions, Bob enjoyed traveling, golfing, skiing, and spending time in Colorado with his family.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 27 years, Julie A. (Mumford) Sweet and their three wonderful children, Jaime A. Sweet of Frankfort, N.Y., Jessica L. Sweet of Sherrill, N.Y. and Robert E. Sweet III of Oneida, N.Y.; one grandson, Cory M. Miller; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Joseph Schepisi of Canandaigua, N.Y., Barbara J. Moore of Vernon, N.Y, Ann Marie and Paul Finch of North Fort Myers, Fla. and Carol Lynn and William Bevilacqua of Glenville, N.Y. and his beloved dog friend, Lexi.

A private service will be held, June 3 at 9:30 a.m.from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida and followed by a 10 a.m.open services for friends and family at St. Helena's Church, where Bob's funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev.
