Jeffrey Schenk Obituary
Jeffrey was born Sept. 19, 1980 in Hamilton, a son of Fred, Jr. and Judy Paul Schenk and was a graduate of Madison High School and the carpenter apprentice program. Jeff was currently working for the Town of Eaton Highway Department. He had previously been employed by the Town of Hamilton, Growmark Field Services in Sangerfield, and the Carpenters Local Union 277 for 16 years. Jeff had a great sense of humor and a sharp wit. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and boating.
He was a member of the Madison Volunteer Fire Department; the Beaver Valley Rod & Gun Club; and the Sons of the American Legion Oriskany Falls Post.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Julie Wratten and her children, Colby and Chalee; his parents, Fred, Jr. and Judy Schenk of Hamilton; his grandfathers, John "Pops" Bikowsky of Madison and Fred Schenk, Sr. of Vernon Center; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Amanda Schenk of Waterville, and their children, Reilly and Avery; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandmothers Edna Bikowski and Venetta Schenk.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Grove - Cleveland Room (White Eagle Banquet & Conference Center, 2910 Lake Moraine Rd., Hamilton, NY).
Jeff's family wishes to thank the Crouse Hospital ICU staff for the compassionate care given to him.
Contributions in Jeffrey's memory may be made to the Madison Fire Department, 7362 Route 20 East, Madison, NY 13402 or the Beaver Valley God & Gun Club, 1870 Carter Rd., Hubbardsville, NY 13355.

Jeff will be missed. We got to know Jeff well when he and Jamie were in High School together, getting into trouble together etc. Those memories will bring back smiles when we think of Jeff. Please know that we are thinking of all of you.

As your sickness came so quickly and has taken you from us way too early, we sit and think of why and how, knowing how many lives you have touched. It won't be easy to let go, for all of the hearts that you have touched you will know your spirit will never be lost or you forgotten. So Jeff, fly high and free, we will not say good-bye but we will see you later.

We were shocked to hear of Jeff's untimely passing. Our prayers are for the Lord's gentle and assuaging hand to guide and comfort you during your time of affliction. Jeff will be remembered for making a difference in the lives of many. Ruth Ann and I will not be able to come there at this time, but may be in your area sometime this coming August. You will be dearly missed Jeff. You were always able to make people laugh and you were always a great joy to be around. I always loved how we could pick right up where we last saw each other last no matter how much time had passed between each time we would see each other. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and hours of laughing.
