Corinne Elizabeth Gross Green, age 104, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, following a brief illness.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late John Payne Gross and Saidie Wilson Gross, and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Green. She was a member of the Baha'i faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Mann, and her husband, Henry, of Belhaven, N.C.; son, John R. Green, and his wife, Ann, of Asheville, N.C.; daughter, Janet Hurst, and her husband, John, of Athens; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Audubon Society, 4055 Roswell Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342.
