Glover, Dr. Robert S.  
Dr. Robert S. Glover, age 86 of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2016 at his home of natural causes. He was born August 30, 1929 in Christian County, Kentucky the son of the late Robert G. and Ellen Spicer Glover. He was a member of the Trenton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He served in the U.S. Army where he was a 1st Lieutenant and also with the 399th Regimen of the 100th Division KY Reserve Unit. He served on the board of the Logan-Todd Regional Water Commission for 19 years and Chairman of the Board for 10 years. When he was a teenager he traveled with Bill Monroe's baseball team. He was 1st baseman for the FBC baseball team in Auburn, Alabama from 1965-1968. He worked closely with Jimmy Carter and Sonny Perdue before they both became governors. He developed the 1st major in Economics at Austin Peay State University and served as the 1st Chairman of the Economic Department. For over 50 years he was on a college roster and he taught for over 25 years as well as doing research for 25 years. He taught at the following colleges and universities: Austin Peay State University, Texas A&M University, Stephen F. Austin University, University of Georgia, Brenau University, Embry Riddle, Tuskegee Institute and Auburn University. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Peggy Barnett Glover and one brother Ned A. Glover. He is survived by two daughters Lydia Phelps (Donald) of Huntsville, Alabama and Lycia Glover of Sandersville, Georgia; two sisters Patty Campbell of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Linda Capps of Hunstville, Alabama. Also surviving are three grandchildren. Visitation with the Glover family will be on Saturday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 at the Trenton Baptist Church. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Trenton Baptist Church in Trenton with Rev. Dean Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Trenton Baptist Church. 1929 - 2016

Hahn, Lorraine K. - Canyon Lake  
Lorraine Hahn, 91, of Athens died on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was born on November 26, 1924 in Reedsville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herbert and Anna Krueger. She worked for many years for the Soil Conservation Service of the US Department of Agriculture. She was a founding and dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens. She is survived by her husband, Jack R. Hahn, her daughter, Jeanne Stanelle Eleazer and husband Paul, her son, Steven W. Stanelle, her grandchildren, Kristen Eleazer Downs and husband Brian, Karen Eleazer Measells and husband Chip, Jason Stanelle and wife Amanda, Brett Stanelle and wife Kacie, Steven Tyler Stanelle and 7 great-grandchildren. A burial service was performed in Appleton Wisconsin on April 24, 2016. There will be a memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2535 Jefferson Road, Athens GA, 30607 on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church Educational Fund. 1924 - 1991

Hasbrouck, Calvin DuBois - Athens  
Calvin DuBois Hasbrouck died peacefully at home in his sleep on April 26, 2016. He was born April 24, 1933, the son of Calvin and Elizabeth Hasbrouck. He grew up on Forshalle Plantation in South Georgia. He was an Eagle Boy Scout. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Music Education. He taught for two years in the Army Dependents School System in Berlin, Germany. After returning to Florida, he earned an advanced degree in trumpet performance. In 1964, he received a John Hay Fellowship for a year of study at Columbia University in New York City. After two years in the public school system he was recruited by the University of Georgia in 1967. After one year in the Music Department he joined the Office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences. He was a founding member of the Georgia Brass Quintet. In the fall of 1985 he was selected as a participant in the Smithsonian Institution's Visiting Associates Program. He retired in 1993 as an Associate Dean. After retirement he enjoyed travel and became a certified judge of competitive barbecue. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Clara Mabee Hasbrouck and his devoted caregiver, Debra Tal. At his request, no services are planned.
