Louise Pryor

Louise Elizabeth "Betty" Pryor, age 84, of Athens, died on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Athens Heritage Home, in Athens.
Miss Pryor was born on August 29, 1928, in Ben Hill County, to the late James Jarratt Pryor and Catherine Clark Wilcox Pryor. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and she attended the University of Georgia, in Athens. She grew up attending Central United Methodist Church, in Fitzgerald, and she worked as a nurses' aid. She had lived in Athens for the past 20 years, where she was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law: Gerald W. "Jerry" and Jackie Pryor, of Fitzgerald; one sister: Anna May Cobb, of Athens, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Dr. James J. Pryor Jr.; two sisters-in-law: Rita Pryor and Jeannie Pryor; and one brother-in-law: Henry Cobb Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, in the St. James United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, in Athens, with the Rev. Bill Curington officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
