Martha Patat Akins

Bogart - Martha Patat Akins, 83, of Bogart, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006.
A native of Clarke County, GA, Mrs. Akins was the daughter of Samuel Edward and Belle Williams Patat. She was a member of the Athens First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband: James I. Akins, Sr., daughters: Beth McPeters of Pooler, GA, Glenda Harrison and husband Johnny of Athens, GA, Kay Cash and husband Rick of Jasper, GA, Faye Johnson and husband Mickey of Centreville, AL, and Cookie Holland and husband Ken of Fayetteville, NC, Buddy Akins and wife Ronette of Vero Beach, FL, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by a brother: John Patat and his wife, Peggy, one aunt: Mrs. Montine Kuhlman, a niece and nephew, all of Oconee County, and a cousin: Carolyn Nunnally of Athens, GA.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Bernstein Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Britt and Rev. Grady Wigley officiating. Interment will be Evergreen Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6-7 PM, November 3, 2006, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
