Franklin Paul Alewine, 48, of Athens, GA passed away Monday, November 19, 2012.
A native of Athens, GA, Mr. Alewine was the son of Dorothy Lee Mann Alewine and the late Thomas Odell Alewine and was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Ann Alewine. He graduated from Madison County High School, served in the United States Army for 3 years, and was employed by the University of Georgia
Survivors in addition to his mother include partner, Edwin Scott Saye of Athens; brothers, Thomas Michael Alewine of Athens and Ricky Lee Alewine and wife, Elaine of Colbert, and sisters, Rose Alewine Patterson and husband, Bob of Hull and Christine Garrison and husband, David of Athens.
Memorial services will be held 6PM Monday, November 26th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev René Dubose officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Bernstein.
