Bob White passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2013. Bob was born in Atlanta and has lived in the Athens area most of his adult life. He received his Bachelors' degree from Florida State before serving 2 years in the US Army during the Vietnam War
. He came home from the service and completed his Master's degree as well as his PhD in Entomology from the University of Georgia
. He worked at UGA for several years before going on to teach at the George Walton Academy. For the last 16 years he worked as a poultry consultant for NIPCAM (Nolan Integrated Pest Control and Maintenance). One of Bob's greatest enjoyments was working with the Boy Scouts. He was an active troop leader and spent over 15 years working with Troop #80 in Watkinsville. He was also a member of Watkinsville First United Methodist Church. Bob's witty sense of humor and all knowing stories will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Carol White and his father Robert Alton White, Sr.
