James Bryant Obituary

Bishop - James "Jimmy" Monroe Bryant III died July 19, 2009.
A native of Newnan, Ga., he graduated from The Heritage School where he played soccer and baseball. Mr. Bryant attended Auburn University and was a graduate of Parson's School of Art and Design in New York. He was a graphic designer for many years. He was an avid University of Georgia football fan and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joann Morgan Bryant.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lord and Stephens, WEST, Bogart, Ga., with funeral services on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Also held on Thursday will be a funeral service at 4 p.m. at the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, Ga., with visitation at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan, Ga. Dr. Joel Richardson will officiate all services.
Survivors include his wife, Shana Bryant of Bishop; children, James Monroe Bryant IV of Roswell and Olivia Rose Bryant of Roswell; stepdaughter, Tristen McKay of Bishop; father and stepmother, Dr. James M. (Harriet) Bryant Jr.; sister, Jennie Bryant (Wayne) Jackson of Newnan and their children, Michael (Rebecca) Jackson and Corinne Jackson; brother, Donald Austin (Pam) Bryant of Newnan and their children, Kendall Marie Ward, and her son, Austin, and Scott Whitley; brother, Ronald A. (JoAnne) Bryant of Newnan; and sister, Jackie Bryant (Jean Pierre) Barbier of Avignon, France, and their children, Samy Barbier and Joanna Barbier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, Bogart, Ga., and McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, Ga., are in charge of arrangements.
