Louise Shearon Obituary

This is not an obituary. We merely wish to share the joy that Louise T. Shearon, aka Miss Louise, G.G., Mom moved on peacefully, age 101, on the evening of January 28th, 2015, and simply say, to know her was to love her. She joins her husband Kenneth Shearon, sons Gerald and James. She is survived by family and friends in Illinois, Florida, across the county and by entire community in Georgia.
She died, as she lived, on her terms, at her beautiful home, on her timeframe, and with grace. With "Amazing Grace" as it turns out, a song she had long ago requested for her funeral. During her last days we sat with her, spoke to her and listened to some of her favorite music. Leaving her alone for a brief moment, we merely slipped in the next CD from the pile. Moments later her 'Angel on Earth', Margie Phillips, noticed from the adjoining room, Miss Louise had moved on. The CD was playing "Amazing Grace". Described by many as an inspiration she leaves us with an eternal fun-loving spirit and confidence that anything is possible whatever your age. She leaves us her indomitable spirit, wisdom, charm, wit and grace, actually her Amazing Grace
A small service will be held at the Ashford Memorial Methodist Church on Friday, February 6th.

She was the Mom of my best childhood friend ... and like a 2nd Mom to me for years. I'll never forget her kind finger-pointing eyes which seemed to say "you boys better watch your P's and Q's" -- and her smile which would say "now, go have some fun ! ".

When I moved back to Athens and knew who Miss Louise was at OCAF, I remember thinking what a lady..It is not one often sees so clearly how fun and dignity, graciousness and good works were all parts of this lovely lady. She raised sons with the same qualities. Watkinsville was gifted when the Shearon family came.

February 3, 2015

Amazing Grace was personified in this gentle and serene yet stoic woman who appreciated the beauty in this world and love of those around her. She was a constant example of
how to navigate life by the acceptance of its sorrows and treasuring its joys. GG will be greatly missed but I believe she looked forward to joining all of her loved ones that went before her. May God continue to Bless you GG Until the day we once again meet you at the bridge.
