Arthur L. (Bo) Smith, 72, passed away on April 25th. Bo was a native of Columbus, Georgia and graduated from Jordan High School. After high school, he served in the United States Military and spent the majority of his service stationed in Germany. After being honorably discharged, he attended and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA).
He married his wife, Marsha Tippens Smith in September of 1966 and they lived in Atlanta, Georgia where Bo worked for the Internal Revenue Service. In 1977, he was transferred to Athens where he served as the Athens area supervisor. Shortly thereafter, Bo founded his CPA firm where he enjoyed working with and serving his clients.
Bo was preceded in death by his son Keith Smith. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marsha, and his sons Lee (Sarah) and Toby (Hollie) and his precious grandchildren who he dearly loved; Hannah, Jackson, Caroline, and Allen. He is also survived by his sisters, Priscilla Henry (Lawrence) of West Point, Georgia and Sue Thompson (Columbus, Ohio).
Services will be held at Bridges Funeral Home on Sunday, April 27th. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 and service following at 5:00
Family will be at the residence of Toby and Hollie Smith, 1021 Manor Ridge Drive, Bishop, GA.
