Deborah Anne Shaver Grosskurth, 60, of Athens, GA passed away on March 3, 2014. She was the youngest of five children of Owen and Ruby Shaver. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1971 and later attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She married William "Bill" Grosskurth in the spring of 1980 with close friends and family. She had recently retired with her husband to Athens, GA and volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital in her spare time. She was a social butterfly with a giant heart of gold. She could talk to anyone that would listen, for days. She had a special talent for making things beautiful, as she loved gardening, interior decorating, and fashion. She loved her family dearly and would take any available opportunity to share stories about them with anyone.
She is survived by her husband William; two children Julia and Erik; grandson Nolan; and loads of people who love her dearly.
A memorial will be held March 8, 2014 at 11:00AM at Milledge Avenue First Baptist Church. A life celebration will follow the memorial at Debi's home in Athens.
