Charles Ralph Sticher, age 66, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, following a long illness.

A native of Fulton County, Mr. Sticher was the son of the late Calvin H. Sticher Sr. and Sarah Odom Sticher, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin H. Sticher and Craig Patrick Sticher.
Mr. Sticher graduated from Athens High School in 1964 and the University of Georgia in 1975, with a degree in business. He retired from the University of Georgia Computer Center, where he was a system analyst, was named to the Who's Who in Computer Science, and was devoted to the University of Georgia and the Georgia Bulldawgs.
Survivors include his brothers, Chris Sticher, and his wife, Janice, and Clifford Sticher, and his wife, Deborah; sister-in-law, Donna Tyler Sticher; niece, Dawn Sticher Strehlke, her husband, Mark, and their sons, Jake and Dylan Strehlke; and nephew, Shayne Sticher, and his son, Calvin.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral home, with interment to follow in Oconee Hill Cemetery. A reception will be in the Sexton House immediately following the interment.
The family will receive friends at Bernstein from noon until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund, 1230 Baxter St., Athens, GA 30606.
