Charles Freeman White, age 94, of Arnoldsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Charles was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Arnoldsville Baptist Church and VFW Post #2872.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Hansel Rogers White; five brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Merle Spivey White; son, Darryl White; sister-in-law, Lois White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at Arnoldsville Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Hunter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arnoldsville Cemetery Fund, c/o Nathan Meadows, 26 Sunrise Lane, Arnoldsville, GA 30619.
