Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announce the death of Mr. Flenton Mark Faulkner, age 98, of Twin City, GA on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart, GA, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Twin City United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Smith and Rev. Richard Hoard officiating.
Interment will follow at Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers are: Skylar Strickland, Clayton Faulkner, Math Faulkner, Wesley Hendley, Clark Hendley and Matt Hoard.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday.

Mr. Faulkner was born September 20, 1914; he lived a long and full life, being kind and supportive of his family and friends and driving his tractor, and planting and tending to his garden. He and Rex, his dog and companion, were happy sitting in the "parlor" swinging. Mr. Faulkner was a member of Twin City United Methodist Church and a Mason with Ridgeway Lodge #104 in Garfield, GA. He faithfully and honorably served during World War II in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on the Manhattan Project. He is a lineal descendent of Thomas R. Faulkner, Grandfather, who served honorable as a Private in Company K, 19th Regiment, South Carolina Infantry in the War Between The States. He worked in construction on large commercial structures for many years. Mr. Faulkner was preceded in death by his parents, Mark M. and Mamie Williams Faulkner; his Wife of 65 years, Marjorie Parham Faulkner; a grandson, Kevin Strickland and eight brothers and sisters.

One Son: Wendell Faulkner (Dayle) of Watkinsville, GA
One Daughter: Wanda Kindrick of Tybee Island, GA
One Grandson: Mark Strickland (Karen) of Savannah, GA
Two Grand Daughters: Haley Faulkner of Danielsville, GA and Jessica Skelton (Brad) of Lexington, GA.
Four Great-Grandchilden: Skylar Strickland and Brittany Strickland of Savannah, GA; Cade Ramsey of Danielsville, GA and Lucas Skelton of Lexington, GA.
One Brother: Alvie Faulkner (Irene) of Twin City, GA.
One Sister: Opal Brantley of Pennsylvania.
Several Nieces and Nephews.
