June R. Kiser, 94, affectionately known as "Marmee" to most, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Born in East Stone Gap, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Milton Rivers and Margaret Phillips Rivers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Jackson Kiser, Sr. and two brothers. June retired after 23 years from Macy's as an Executive Secretary, was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, spending time with her family, and playing games.

Survivors include her four children: Paul Jackson Kiser, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Watkinsville, Janet Waldroup of Athens, Charles Jerry Kiser and wife, Phyllis, of Watkinsville, Joyce Kiser Nix and husband, Wayne, of Watkinsville; 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with interment following at Oconee Hill Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jones and Dr. Stewart Simms will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Senior Saints in June's name.
