Ralph Park Potts, age 79, of Watkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.
Mr. Potts was born on January 13, 1934, in Chickamauga, to the late Hector Beauregard Potts and Gladys Bell Jones Potts Bates. He grew up in Ringgold and attended Young Harris College and the University of Georgia.
Mr. Potts worked for the Farmer's Home Administration from 1967 until retirement in 1996. He was an active member of the Watkinsville First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sara Anne Whitaker Potts; daughters, Carolyn Potts (Floyd) Crouch, Lynne Potts (Michael) Shaw, and Tracy Potts Miller; grandchildren, Dustin (Christy), Matt (Amy), and Jesse Crouch, Toni and Thomas Shaw, and Ben, Eli, and Sara Miller; great-grandchildren, Enora, Ella, and Ransom Crouch; brother, Philip (Susan) Potts; and nephew, Jonathan (Brooke) Potts.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Watkinsville First United Methodist Church, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.
