Mr. Isham Terrell Brown Jr., 87, of 350 Holman Ave, Athens, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Quite Oaks Health Care, Crawford GA.

Born on December 30, 1925 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Isham Terrell "I.T." Brown Sr. and Annie Lee Whitaker Brown. He was retired from Southern Brick, where he was a salesman. Mr. Brown was a former member of the Yacht Club, Elks Club and VFW. He was a member of the Young Harris United Methodist Church and a WW II U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lluana Harper Brown; a son, Rev. Barry Brown and his wife Gail of Laurens SC; a brother, Joe Stewart Brown of Edmond OK and two grandchildren, Jonathan Brown and his wife Lindsey and Gayla Paige Brown. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Phillips; a brother, Ed Brown and two sisters, Louise Tew and Johnnie Bell.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 17 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Davis Wofford and Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10-11 a.m. The family is at their respective homes.
