Ann George Cash Peeler, 86, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2014.
Mrs. Peeler was a native of Lawrenceville and was the daughter of the late Andrew Garner Cash Sr. and Annie Sells Cash. She was a graduate of Athens High School (Class of 1944) and Athens Business College; and retired from Georgia Power after 44 years. She was a member of the Ambassadors Club, serving as Treasurer; a longtime member of Town & Country Garden Club; and a member of the First Baptist Church of Athens. She was a world traveler, enjoyed reading, and was an avid bridge player.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, James Cash and Andrew Garner Cash Jr., and husband, Hugh H. Peeler.
Survivors include her son, Terry; grandsons, Karl and Jakob; three great-grandchildren; sister, Dot C. Johnston; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at Oconee Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Granger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the , 1684 Barnett Shoals Rd., Athens, GA 30605.
