Pheobia Carolyn "Carol" Grindle, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., died on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Born in Elberton, Ga., to the late Bailey Clinton Brazell and Pheobia Carolyn Spivey Brazell, Carol was also preceded in death by her husband, James Grindle.
She is survived by her daughters, Emily (Ron) Gordon and Jeanne (Ken) Brandon; grandchildren, Joshua Gordon, Jeanette Schiffmann, Jodi Brandon, and Jamie Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Emery and Eden Schiffmann.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at Oconee Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Nick Vipperman officiating.
