Oma Gene McCormick Crowe, 83, of Bogart, died on June 30, 2014.
A native of Orlando, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Theron Cecil and Elizabeth Whitehead McCormick and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Luther M. "Pete" Crowe. Gene was an election poll worker in Oconee County for over 19 years and a longtime member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Mason (Loraine) Crowe, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Julie Crowe (Dale) Auten, of Murrayville, and Pam Crowe (Eddie) Patat, of Bishop; grandchildren, Justin (Jamie) Crowe, Erin (Dan) Watson, Morgan (Josh) Smith, Anna Kate Auten, Bethany Auten, Kelli (Jake) Thompson, and Laura Patat; and great-grandchildren, Emory Thompson, Sawyer Watson, and Caroline Crowe.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at the funeral home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
