Richard Morgan Askew, 70, of Athens, died on Thursday, July 3, 2014.
A native of Dublin, he was the son of the late Willburn Alexander Askew and Anita Morgan Askew. He was the owner of Trademark Dental Ceramics and had attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Odum Askew; children, Tonia Michelle Askew, of Madison, Robert Keith Aaskew, of Comer, Paula Bentley (Allen) Smallwood, of Macon, and Allison Bentley (Earl) McKinley, of Augusta; brothers, Steve (Lash) Askew and Jeffery (Pat) Askew; sisters, Kathy Askew (Franz) Bruckmair and Susan (Louie) Crabb; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at the Lord & Stephens East Chapel, with Father David McGuiness officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851; or to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, c/o Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
