Louise Margaret Dove, 94, of Athens, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014.
A native of Madison County, Mrs. Dove was the daughter of the late Robert Calhoun Franklin and Beulah Streetman Franklin, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Willie Dove, and son-in-law, Otis Wallace. She retired from Westclox and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Lovingly known as "Maw-Maw" to family and close friends, Mrs. Dove enjoyed flowers, the outdoors, and her Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Elam (and husband, Rick), of Iva, S.C., and Clara Wallace, of Winder; son, James Jerry Dove (and wife, Brenda), of Athens; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
