Mildred Walls Ashworth, 91, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014.
A native of Oglethorpe County she was the daughter of the late Nath and Bessie Bonner Walls. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Ashworth and five grandchildren David Ashworth and Edward, Ronald, Hale and Amanda Shelton. She was a retired aid with Advantage Behavioral and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters Alma Jean Shelton of Danielsville and Betty Warren of Watkinsville; son John Thomas Ashworth of Augusta; four grandchildren Mike Shelton, Michelle Johnson, Tory Ashworth and Chad Ashworth; four great grandchildren Brenda Shelton, Tiffany Pritchett, Tristan and Stormy Ashworth and two great great grandchildren Brantley and Colton Cowart.
A celebration of life will be 11 am Friday at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am at Bernstein.
