Comer - Charles Bell Jr., 74, of Comer, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009.

A native of Ft. Branch, Ind., Mr. Bell was the son of the late Charles E and Marie Barrett Bell. He was a retired truck driver for Frito Lay and was a part-time deputy sheriff in Orange County, Fla., for nine years.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Gerke Bell of Comer, Ga.; children, Charles Edwin Bell (Marge) of Cleveland, Tenn., Terry Bell (Patricia) of Comer, Ga., Patricia Cathryn Bell Buckner of Altamonte Springs, Fla., Teresa Diane Bell Olson (Jerome) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Donald Bell (Sue Ann) of Apopka, Fla., Michael Bell of Orlando, Fla., Gary Bell of Orlando, Fla., Lisa Bell of Orlando, Fla., Gilbert Garner of Douglasville, Ga., Terry Garner (Tammy) of Carrollton, Ga., James Garner (Sandy) of Burlingame, Kan., and Patricia Garner Bell (Terry) of Comer, Ga..; sister, Bonnie Carl of Sidney, Mich.; 22 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Twyla Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at Bernstein.
