Terry Alan Bridges, Sr. , 58 of Washington, Georgia passed away Sunday, May
26, 2013 at home.
Mr. Bridges,was a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School in 1971 and then
he attended ABAC in Tifton for a short period before joining the military where he
served 16 years total time with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Air Reserves and U. S. Army
Mr. Bridges worked most of his life for his father at Bridges Angus Farm in
Lexington, GA. His most recent place of employment was the Georgia Seed
Development Commission in Athens, GA.
Mr. Bridges was a member of Salem Baptist Church in the Salem Community,
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hopkins Bridges of Washington, Georgia; his
parents Ralph and Margaret Bridges of Lexington; children, Alan Bridges (Melissa) and
Phillip Bridges (Leigh Ann) of Lexington, Crystal Bridges of Arnoldsville; stepchildren
Lynn Herrin (Preston) of Athens, Frank Pittman of Watkinsville, and Chrissie Pittman
(Wes) of Athens and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Steve Bridges
(Glenda), of Lexington, John Mark Bridges (Tricia) of Arnoldsville, Walter Bridges
(Maria) of Lexington and David Bridges (Gloria) of Stephens; one sister, Iris Walker
(Barry) of Lexington. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 30 at Salem Baptist Church,
Lexington, Ga., at 4 o'clock.
Visitation will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
