James Euris Doster, 76, of Inwood, W. Va., died Thursday, June 27, 2012, at the VA Medical Center.

Born Feb. 25, 1936, in Chester, he was the son of the late Feaster A. and Bess Jeanette Montgomery Doster.
Mr. Doster was retired from the U.S. Navy and retired from Cargill.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #17, lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a lifetime member of the Masons Hammerton Lodge 332.
Mr. Doster was a member of Darkesville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anitia M. Droest Doster; one son, James E. Doster Jr. of Towson, Md.; two daughters, Frances Y. Taylor of Towson, Md. and Barbara J. Doster of Conway; one step-daughter, Joline Young and her husband Robert of Inwood, W. Va.; one step-son, James L. Walsh of Sykesville, Md.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie D. Burrows of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha J. LaGrange; and one sister, Dorothy A. Mullis.
The West Virginia funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, W. Va., with Pastor Tom Sigler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at South Berkeley Chapel.
The Chester funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Interment with military honors will be held in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 11 a.m. to noon.
